Chenin Blanc, Stellenbosch, Neethlingshof

  • Stellenbosch
  • , South Africa
SAF-NE-001
6 x 75cl

Located in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Neethlingshof Estate is a historic gem in Stellenbosch, surrounded by the Bottelary Hills and Papegaaiberg Mountain, with panoramic views of False Bay. The estate’s legacy dates back over 300 years to 1692 when German settler Willem Barend Lubbe first farmed the land granted to him by Governor Simon van der Stel. Originally named De Wolwedans, or “The Dance of Wolves,” the farm’s history intertwines with Cape culture and European influences.

Neethlingshof has long been associated with the finest winemaking traditions of the Western Cape, where meticulous care is taken to cultivate exceptional wines. The estate’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its farming practices, with a strong focus on biodiversity since 2003. The estate has moved away from monoculture, reintroducing natural ecosystems alongside its vineyards to restore balance to the land. This philosophy is reflected in the wines they produce, each offering an authentic sense of place.

Pale lemon in color, this vibrant Chenin Blanc offers aromas of pear, ripe apple, and a hint of rose petal. On the palate, expect fresh white peach, apricot, and guava with a touch of orange zest. Enjoy now or within 5 years.
